The Women In Transition Board of Directors approved a strategic plan for the organization.

In planning for the future of WIT, WIT collected input from clients, staff, board, expert friends and partners though surveys, key informant interviews, and a joint WIT staff and board day-long planning session. As a result, we present six Strategic Goals that will anchor WIT’s efforts and investments over this three-year period as we advance our work.

WIT Strategic Goals

Mission and Vision

1. Update WIT’s mission & vision statements to reflect our services, the communities we currently serve and want to serve, and the impact we are striving to make.

2. Update WIT’s public-facing identity through a defined branding process.

Community Engagement

3. Expand the reach of WIT services to underserved communities, with a particular focus on immigrants and non-English speakers.

4. Engage and work more closely with LGBQ, transgender, gender non-conforming, and men survivors.

Services & Programs

5. Develop new mind/body programs to support clients in their healing process and continue to enhance WIT’s array of existing DV and substance abuse counseling, education and prevention services and programs.

Sustainability & Fundraising

6. Fully utilize WIT board and staff talent to secure funding for implementing and reaching WIT’s strategic goals.
