We’re looking for a Development & Communications Intern for the Winter/Spring semester!
As an intern, you would be involved in development (fundraising) and communications projects at WIT, including our current initiative to develop and implement a new marketing plan, marketing materials and website. Your internship can be creatively designed to reflect personal interests and strengths. Hours are flexible.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Researching foundation grant opportunities and corporate sponsorships for WIT
Developing and helping to roll out a spring digital fundraising campaign via e-blasts and social media
Assisting with planning and writing for our monthly e-newsletter
Assisting with the creation of WIT’s annual Impact Report
Collaborating with staff and Board committees to assist with special event planning
Planning WIT’s social media calendar, posting content for Facebook and Twitter, and tracking analytics
Participating in communications, marketing, and development meetings
Participating in projects with other staff as necessary
Preferred Qualifications:
At least two years of coursework at college or university level in English, Women’s Studies, Communications/Marketing, or another comparable degree
Strong writing, communications and proof-reading skills
Experience with event planning, promotion, and social media a plus
Passion for ending violence
