A New Group Series: Financial Empowerment

Financial abuse occurs in 99% of domestic violence cases (NNEDV). This fall, WIT is addressing this crucial aspect of power and control though a new group series for Survivors, titled “Moving Ahead Through Financial Empowerment.”

Participants will learn about the dynamics of financial abuse, and how to regain control and confidence of their finances. Furthermore, this 5-week series will teach fundamentals of budgeting, credit, and savings, all in a trauma-informed, empowerment-based setting. Participants who complete all sessions will earn a certificate, and may be eligible for a matching savings program.

This series is open to people of all gender identities and sexual orientations ages 14+. Play Care will be available for children ages 0-12.
