With the help of her dad, Del made a $25.00 donation to Women In Transition, saying “This problem has been going on FOREVER, and we should help it stop!” We wanted to hear more about Del’s ideas, so we reached out to ask her a few questions.

Thank you so much for your donation! How did you choose to give to Women In Transition?

My dad made a list of things that we could donate to for Giving Tuesday, and you were one of them! I just thought you were doing something nice and right. It was really nice that you were helping those women that were in need. And it was right because everyone deserves a home, a job, and other stuff.

Why do you think it’s important to help people? What are some other ways that you help people?

It’s important because you want everyone to feel happy about where they’re living and feel safe in their own home. I help my friends be happy by making them laugh.

2020 was a hard year for a lot of people. What did you learn this year by staying at home more? What has been hard?

I learned that I could really, really miss my friends, and that my cats can be annoying. It’s also hard having to have almost nothing to do.

What ideas do you have for organizations to help people who are having a tough time?

I think they should be helping people who lost their jobs during coronavirus. And I think they should be setting up more food pantries.

What are some other things that are important to you, and why?

Helping stray animals, because we could get some pets for people who need them, and fewer squirrels and birds will be eaten!

Be like Del! Support WIT by making a donation here.
